The Breast Health Center offers a full array of all-digital breast imaging services, including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, and breast MRI. The Breast Health Center is now an all-tomosynthesis site. Tomosynthesis, or 3D mammography, enables radiology technologists to obtain breast images from multiple angles, reducing the potential for patient call-backs to obtain additional imaging scans.
If you have breast cancer, you may want to explore different treatment methods to supplement traditional medicine. Options include acupuncture, detoxification diets, traditional Chinese medicine, and antioxidants, among other alternatives. These are known as complementary and alternative medicine CAM.
Complementary and alternative medicine CAM use is common among cancer patients. Women with LABC attending a specialist clinic at a single Canadian cancer centre were identified and approached. Participants completed a self-administered survey regarding CAM usage, beliefs associated with CAM usage, views of their risks of developing recurrent cancer and of dying of breast cancer.

The measure includes awareness of warning signs and symptoms, risk factors, attitudes towards help-seeking, awareness of the link between cancer and age, and awareness of the NHS bowel screening programme. We can more accurately identify who might be at risk of relapsing and uncover new ways of treating them. In the first study of its kind, scientists at the Cancer Research UK Cambridge Institute at the University of Cambridge, in collaboration with Professor Christina Curtis at Stanford University, examined the patterns of genetic changes within tumours from nearly 2, women with breast cancer and followed their progress over 20 years — including whether their cancer returned. While the genetic analyses used in the study are too detailed for everyday use, the team are now working on a routine test that could one day help doctors offer women a more accurate prediction of if, and when, their disease may return. These clinical trajectories vary considerably, even between tumours that seem similar.
Complementary and alternative medicine CAM is widely used among the breast cancer patients in Malaysia. Delays in presentation, diagnosis and treatment have been shown to impact the disease prognosis. There is considerable use of CAM amongst breast cancer patients.
